About this Event
Join us for a 3-week embodiment yoga series exploring the practice of receiving.
In a culture that often emphasizes doing and pushing through, this series invites you to explore a different approach—one of softening, listening, and allowing. Through grounding, breath, and intentional movement, you’ll be guided to receive support from the earth and your body.
Our bodies are constantly communicating through sensation. When we learn to receive rather than override these signals, we begin to build a deeper relationship with the body as a resource for healing, connection, and alignment.
Through a blend of yin yoga postures and embodiment practices, you’ll be guided to slow down, soften habitual tension patterns, and reconnect with the intelligence of your body. You’ll also gain practical tools for nervous system regulation and body connection that you can carry into daily life.
Week 1 (May 11): Receiving Support
This class focuses on softening over-efforting patterns and allowing the body to be supported by the ground. Through grounding practices and longer, supported postures, you’ll explore what it feels like to deeply receive.
Week 2 (May 18): Receiving Sensation
This class invites you to deepen your relationship with sensation. Rather than bracing against or disconnecting from feeling, you’ll explore how to stay present with the body’s internal experience with curiosity and steadiness.
Week 3 (May 25): Receiving Through Awareness
Building on the first two weeks, this class explores how we receive information from the external environment. We’ll explore eye movements and visual awareness practices to shift into receiving mode and build resources for tuning into the body as a compass or navigating life from greater authenticity.
This series is an invitation to befriend the body as a resource - a system that supports deeper healing, clearer awareness, and a more aligned way of living.
