About the Artists:
Lou Ridley - Originally from Houston, Texas, Lou Ridley's deep-rooted connection to music finds its roots in her Southern heritage. Her musical style is unequivocally distinctive, shaped by her journey through both adversity and triumph. In her 2021 debut single, "Hometown," Lou delves into the traumas of her upbringing in Southlake, Texas, cementing her identity as an 'anti-country' country artist determined to shatter the genre's conventional, idealized narratives. Building on the triumph of "Hometown," Lou Ridley unveiled her acclaimed Sophomore EP titled Angel / Outlaw. Garnering acclaim from The Recording Academy, People Magazine, Houston Chronicle, E! Magazine, Atwood Magazine, and more. In addition to producing, performing, and writing, Ridley takes pride in being a human rights activist and lends her time to be in service to organizations that work with those struggling with substance abuse and/or homelessness.
Misty Dawn - From the bright lights of Broadway theatre to a honky tonk near you, Misty Dawn is out to turn your preconceived notions of what country music is upside down. Born in Fort Worth, TX, and currently based in Nashville, Dawn is an unconventional outlaw who got her start in theatre at the age of six before pivoting to music, where she writes modern-day outlaw ballads about women’s equality and other issues dear to her. Dawn’s sound is a hodge-podge of influences that centers on a homage to the classic Texas hill country twang she calls home. Sprinkled throughout are also hints of jazz, show tunes, church hymns, and more that coalesce into what she’s dubbed “show country” due to its lyrical plot twists and vocal gymnastics that pair her theatrical upbringing and musical ambitions together. The country cabaret comes calling on Tarantula, Dawn’s full-length debut has drawn praise from the likes of Holler and NOLA County Radio, who says “Misty writes music like a playwright which allows the listener to really see and feel what's happening within the tracks. Her songs are like cinematic vignettes that I want to see her perform on stage and in video.” Dawn’s done both on the way to making her musical dreams a reality, showing us all how the “show country” queen gets it done.
The Prickly Pair - Mason Summit & Irene Greene are The Prickly Pair, a Nashville-based duo specializing in angsty Americana originals & classic country covers. They met while studying at the USC Thornton School of Music & made their live debut as the Prickly Pair in 2021 at Hotel Cafe. Since then, the two have released several singles & a Halloween-themed EP. The Prickly Pair’s latest single, “It Takes Two to Cry,” came out August 20.
