The Real Blues Jam North is an event that has been sharing great Blues and American Roots musicwith audiences and musicians at a series of venues around San Luis Obispo County for over a decade.
The jam is led and hosted by guitarist/slide guitarist/vocalist and songwriter Ted Waterhouse with
bassist/vocalist Bruce Willard and drummer Dean Giles as the Real Blues Rhythm Section and always
draws a great lineup of blues-loving guest musicians and vocalists to join in the fun onstage – not to
mention a loyal following of music fans and dancers from throughout the county and beyond. With a
solid grounding in Delta, Chicago and Jump-Blues styles and including more modern funky blues rock
as well as Rockabilly and Soul the jam keeps the joint jumpin'. All blues oriented musicians: guitarists,
harp players, keyboardists, bassists, drummers horn players and vocalists regardless of experience are
welcome and encouraged to sit in. The only real requirement is a love for blues-based music. Bring
your instruments and drum sticks. Drum kit guitar and bass amps are available for your convenience.
We do ask that all harmonica players, vocalists and singing players bring and use their own personal
microphones.
The Real Blues Jam North will be making it's first appearance at the Pour House Thursday, June 3rd on @ 6:00 PM!
