Join us for an evening celebrating the launch of The Raft Residency, a new artist residency initiative created by Art Resource in partnership with Mirabo Press, alongside the premiere screening of a new documentary film connected to the exhibition MONUMENT & MEMORY at TENfold Gallery.Created in honor of Elisabeth Samuels, The Raft Residency is rooted in the belief that art has the power to connect, transform, and carry us forward. Through focused residencies and collaborative print-based projects, the program will support artists in the creation of new work while fostering meaningful community engagement throughout Western New York.
The evening will include:
• Premiere screening of a new documentary film by Nate Perracini
• Conversation featuring DJ Carr, David Fernan, and Perracini
• First opportunity to view and purchase the inaugural Raft Residency artist book
• Exhibition viewing of MONUMENT & MEMORY
• Refreshments, community gathering, and celebration
MONUMENT & MEMORY brings together the work of DJ Carr and Juan Bordes in an exhibition centered on process, history, vulnerability, and artistic dialogue across generations and geography.
This evening also serves as a fundraiser and community celebration supporting the future of The Raft Residency and its mission to provide artists with time, resources, mentorship, and opportunities for experimentation and growth.
