We invite you to the Queer Choir's Spring Showcase at the Freight & Salvage.The Queer Choir is an East Bay-based ensemble of queer and trans singers. We value singing as a collective healing and community-building practice that centers Black, Indigenous, Queer, Trans, People Of Color (BIQTPOC), and queers with disabilities. The concert program includes many songs written or sung by queer artists, and composers of color. And several of the songs are arranged by the members of the Queer Choir and the LGBTQ+ community.
Be Steadwell (Pronouns: They, She, He, Be), a queer pop artist and composer from Washington DC, will open our show. Be composes songs on stage using looping, vocal layering and beat boxing. They will collaborate with the Queer Choir on a song during the program.
