Mod Revival legends The Purple Hearts at Brighton Mod Weekender
Formed in Romford, Essex in the late 1970’s producing a string of anthemic singles including 'Millions Like Us', 'Frustration', 'Jimmy', 'My Life’s a Jigsaw' and 'Plane Crash'. The band released their classic debut album 'Beat That' on Fiction Records in 1980.
The current line-up of Purple Hearts is led by original members Bob Manton (vocals) and Jeff Shadbolt (bass) and features Andy Orr (The Scene, Small World) on drums and guitarist John Wratten (Small World, The Combine).
