The Pumpkin Ball is an annual black-tie gala hosted by Vanessa Behan, dedicated to supporting children and families in the Spokane community. Over the past 22 years, the event has raised over $3.5 million to benefit the region's youngest and most vulnerable citizens. The 20th annual Pumpkin Ball is scheduled for October 18, 2025, at The Davenport Grand Hotel. The evening will feature a formal program, live and silent auctions, and dancing, all aimed at raising funds for Vanessa Behan's critical services, including 24-hour emergency child care, parent education, crisis counseling, and referrals to other community agencies. Individual tickets are available for $175, with table sponsorships starting at $2,000. Attendees are encouraged to dress in formal attire, with ladies typically wearing ball gowns and men in tuxedos or suits. For those unable to attend, contributions to Vanessa Behan's mission are welcomed.
