About this Event
Join us for 6 sessions on neurodiversity, how it impacts us, and communal sharing on techniques and advice to deal with some of the most challenging parts of navigating todays society as a neurodiverse person.
The session is lead by ADHDEMPOWER as a mother-child duo combining Allison's (She/her) Life coaching skills with Mars' (they/them) lived experience as a neurodivergent queer person.
Allison is a qualified Headteacher and teacher. Accredited coach. ADHD cert specialist. Level 4 Safeguarding. Senior Mental Health certified and Trauma informed.
Mars works in schools with SEN and SEMH children, study a masters in Psychology: Mental Health and Wellbeing, and are Trauma Informed Qualified (TISUK).
Session 1: FREE Tester session (15th October) - Welcome and Understanding Neurodiversity
Session 2: (29th October) - Emotional Regulation and Stress Management
Session 3: (5th November) - Impulsivity and Financial Challenges
Session 4: (12th November - Communication and Social Navigation
Session 5: (19th November) - Mental Health and Self Care
Session 6: (26th November) - Executive Function and Life Skills
Islington Mill is a wheelchair accessible venue from James Street side. There is an accessible toilet. Static lighting will be used. There is no Hearing Aid loop. More access info can be provided upon request.
This is a space that centers Neurodivergent and Queer people. Any ableism, racism,hate or other "phobias" will not be tolerated.
