This new, focused short course offers a unique opportunity to study at the beautiful setting of the University of Greenwich’s Maritime Campus for 3 consecutive full days 19th - 21st May 2026.

Taught by a range of academics, legal and practitioner experts in the field from across the country, you will be able to enjoy meeting and networking with like-minded managers and practitioners. Course delegates need at least a year’s experience working in working in local authority private sector housing teams or similar.

The first day will overview the private rented housing sector and contemporary issues that need to be addressed; the second day will focus on application of the enforcement framework and effective interventions; and the final day will take a strategic approach to regulating the private rented housing sector.

The course fee will include all classroom teaching and learning sessions, refreshments and lunch each day with a BBQ social on the first evening. If you are not local you will be able to secure overnight accommodation locally and would need to fund this separately.

We anticipate high levels of interaction and engagement throughout this course and really hope that you will enjoy meeting, sharing and learning from both the tutors and other course delegates.

You will be provided with a CPD certificate following attendance.

Places are limited to public sector workers (requiring a gov.uk or similar email address) and we will keep a waiting list. For now, please register your interest and we will get back to you shortly with further joining details to secure your booking. At this stage, places will be offered in order of payment received. We very much look forward to welcoming you.

Fee includes:

1) All classroom sessions across the three days

2) Day 1: A light welcome breakfast, refreshments mid-morning and afternoon, lunch and a networking BBQ sponsored by Metastreet on the Greenwich campus.

3) Day 2 and 3: Refreshments on arrival, mid-morning and afternoon and lunch.
