Local author and theatre historian Perry Morris will discuss the history of the iconic Urbana building that once housed the Princess Theatre and is now home to Cinema Gallery. From the pioneering family who built the original opera hall to its evolution as a movie theatre, learn all about the history of this Main Street staple. There's even a Roger Ebert connection!
Perry is a co-author of the book, The Art Theatre: Playing Movies for 100 Years with Joe Muskin and Audrey Wells. He is an avid researcher of local theaters and maintains the website, C-Utheaterhistory.com, where he shares this research.
