*Second screening added due to popular demand! The 1 PM screening will be the Crafting Matinee (lights gently dimmed so you can work on crafts), and the 4 PM screening will be the regular showing.
The Yarn Underground and Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences present THE PRINCESS BRIDE as part of our new Crafting Matinee series where you can watch and craft together in the theatre! A bedridden boy’s grandfather reads him the story of a farmboy-turned-pirate who encounters numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love. A delightfully postmodern fairy tale, The Princess Bride is a deft, intelligent mix of swashbuckling, romance, and comedy that takes an age-old damsel-in-distress story and makes it fresh. Sponsored by The Yarn Underground and Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Unlike traditional cinema experiences, the lights will be gently dimmed to allow you to both enjoy the movie and continue crafting. Bring your knitting, weaving, sewing, drawing, or any other personal craft you’d like to work on while watching the film. Your craft must fit within your seat, and please avoid painting or other crafts that could create a mess that is difficult to clean up. Additionally, please ensure that no craft mess is left behind.
Rated: PG | 1 hr 38 min | Tickets: $8 Adult / $5 Child / Film Pass
