Film maker bio - Caroline Josey Karoki

Caroline Josey Karoki, MFA, is a Kenyan-born US-based filmmaker with international experience. She is a Cucalorus and Working Films Works-in-Progress (WiP) Lab participant, a South Pitch Finalist, and a Southern Documentary Fund grant recipient. While independently developing projects, she has freelanced in various roles on films and TV and worked full-time in corporate media production. Caroline is drawn to telling human-interest stories featuring underserved communities and extraordinary individuals. She recently completed The Price of Hope, a documentary filmed in Kenya, which was recently acquired for Educational Distribution by Good Docs.
Caroline is a part-time professor and also enjoys teaching film to underserved youth. She is a board member of Savannah Women in Film & TV and a member of DOC Savannah and Brown Girls Doc Mafia.
