Join us during Women’s History Month for the second installment of our Civic Engagement Series—a community conversation about why representation matters and how each of us can help shape a more equitable future for Nebraska. We’re thrilled to welcome Katica Roy, an award-winning gender economist, programmer and data scientist, whose dynamic perspective on equity, opportunity and the economy is sought after across the country. Following her keynote, a panel of local experts will dig deeper into the economic realities facing women in Nebraska and what meaningful progress could look like.
Together, we’ll explore what the data tells us about gender equity in our state, including insights from a soon-to-be released research report Unequal Plains: Examining the Economic Gender Gap in Nebraska, and discuss how those findings connect to who leads our communities, who gets heard and who has the opportunity to thrive.
Hosted in partnership with Civic Nebraska, League of Women Voters of Greater Omaha, OpenSky Policy Institute and Women's Fund of Omaha this event is open to anyone interested in understanding the connection between representation, economic opportunity and the health of our democracy.
This event is $10 and space is limited. Reserve your seat now and be part of a powerful community committed to action, equity and lasting change.
