Come as you are, leave relaxed and refreshed!
This workshop is for you if you have trouble relaxing or getting rid of tension in your body. This is a chance for you to come back home to your body and release tension through healing self touch and bodywork. We’ll explore self-bodywork techniques, the power of touch, various nervous system regulation tools, and what it means to be present with the body.
Self-bodywork is one of my favorite nervous system regulation tools because it is so powerful in helping you connect to the body and release tension. I'm so excited to share this workshop with you!!
We will be in the outdoor space at Shangrila, weather permitting.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR
Mia Becker is a certified somatic practitioner and therapist who is passionate about helping others break out of the cycle of chronic stress, regulate their nervous systems, and connect with their authentic self expression so that they can create fulfilling lives filled with ease, joy, pleasure, and play.
After training as a somatic practitioner, Mia earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in order to bridge the worlds of somatics and mental health. Mia facilitates workshops that focus on somatic approaches to stress management and authentic living, including topics on polyvagal theory, healing self touch, nervous system regulation, somatic healing techniques, and conscious movement.
Her mission is to empower people to come back home to their bodies and inner wisdom and cultivate opportunities for self-regulation and co-regulation in everyday life that spark healing change in our communities.
