The power of story in patient care - Dr Suzanne Crowe

Suzanne is Associate Professor in the School of Medicine UCD, in the division of Women and Children's Health. She is a medical graduate of TCD and a Fellow of the College of Anesthesiologists and of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine of Ireland. Her clinical appointment is as a Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine in Children's Health Ireland. She is a trustee for two charities, LGBT Ireland and Cheshire Ireland.

Suzanne was President of the Medical Council for four years, recently completing her term. She has an interest in medical law, regulation, bereavement studies and writing. Her first book, Intensive Care, was published by Hachette in 2025 and she writes regularly about healthcare, child health and family life for several online and print outlets.
