The Power of Representation: Black Men in Media
on June 10th from 9 am until 3 pm. The day will focus on highlighting Black men in WHYY and from across the city, working in media, with a goal of showing attendees examples of how they too can use various forms of media to express themselves in healthy, fulfilling ways, potentially build careers in media, while tearing down outdated, restrictive ideas of who and what a “man” is.
Attendees will here from experts in fields such as music, art and comics, photography/videography, journalism, television, radio and print media, and will leave with practical tips on how they can use media to share their own unique story with the world.
Registration begins at 8:30 with light breakfast and lunch with networking afterwards.
