About this Event
A great first page sets the stage, hints at the story, introduces the writing style, piques the reader’s curiosity, and, most importantly, keeps them reading! In this workshop, Writer-in-Residence Deborah Kerbel will discuss what makes a powerful opening page, how to write one of your own...and where to go from there.
Deborah has published more than thirty books across genres, from picture books and graphic novels to young adult fiction. In May and June, she will offer writing workshops for all ages, along with one-on-one consultations, manuscript critiques, and drop-in Q&A sessions.
