The Poetry Brothel Hastings: SIREN
About this Event
SIREN invites you to an intimate, immersive evening that plays on a double edge: the sharp, haunting wail of warning, and the irresistible, sensuous call of the mythical creature drawing you out to sea. While we heed the alarm of the modern world, this night belongs entirely to the seductive. Let the waves of provocative, up-close verse wash over you as poets performing in their Poetry Brothel persona's offer private readings, unravelling the intoxicating mysteries of the deep. Succumb to the song. We are a stone's throw from the actual sea, in the beautiful, atmospheric Downstairs Bar of The White Rock Hotel.
Join us for a night of whimsy, magical performances and a chance to purchase 1-2-1 private readings with poets and storytellers.
Poets and Storytellers: Rehanna Valentine, Blue-Eyed Lugh, Mmaehem, Silver Star, Embala, Canary Monarch, Bibi Synthe
Dance: Spiritdoll mixing contemporary dance with playful storytelling
