Featuring AMEER DRANE
This month our featured poet is @aedrane.poetry ! Ameer has been a fixture in the Bangkok Poetry community for the past year and is the local slam scene's top performing poet having won the Bangkok Poetry Slam 3 times! His poetry delivers biting criticism of the world and its response to the simple act of a gay Black man living in the world. At the same time, his work looks inward toward his community to point out inconsistencies within a community that struggles to be accepted while struggling to fully accept some of its own. Ameer delivers expertly polished, well executed, engaging, and contemplative poems that deliver insight and force us all to look in the mirror. He joins us at The Poet Parlor to share a set of his original works and take us on an introspective journey!

There will be a limited set of open mic slots available. Poets who wish to enter can reach out via direct message. This show is dedicated to poetry and Open mic is exclusive to poets.
What is Spoken Word Poetry?
Spoken Word Poetry is a performance focused recital of original poetry. The poetry can cover ANY topic and is open to different styles and techniques. It is a powerful form of creative expression, which gives writers the opportunity, and the outlet, to present their Voice.
