Join us for a special afternoon of Persian traditional music at Nakameguro Taproom.
Featuring Setar, Violin, and Percussion, this concert explores the beauty of Dashti and Bayat-e Esfahan, two of the most poetic and expressive modes of Persian classical music.
Through traditional Persian compositions, ensemble performance, and musical dialogue, Persian and Japanese musicians come together to share the rich musical heritage of Iran while creating a cultural bridge between Persian and Japanese artists.
Artists
Arash Rahmati – Setar
Persian traditional musician, educator, and cultural ambassador based in Japan. Active in concerts, workshops, and international cultural events in Japan and abroad.
Tanehiko Sekijima – Violin
Freelance musician and founder of Ensemble Poezia. Active in folklore, theatre, film, music, and cross-cultural collaborations.
Junzo Tateiwa – Percussion
International percussionist specializing in Middle Eastern and Indian percussion traditions, performing across a wide range of genres including classical, jazz, opera, and world music.
