The Pocket Choral Society

Four experienced singers present a show of new and not so new music to your audiences. The Pocket Choral Society bring sweet sounds, improvisation and laughter together as one glorious whole!

Singing unamplified the quartet bring their own songs and new arrangements of some more well known numbers from songwriters like Lennon & McCartney, Lou Reed and Tom Waits in an intimate and relaxed way.

With lots of touring experience around the highways and backwaters of Britain, The Pocket Choral Society bring their songs of the minutiae of daily life, pastries, love and the poor state of home care for the elderly in the UK.

The Pocket Choral Society has produced as special show for village hall touring across the UK. The vicar, publican, farmer and village shop worker who form the group, bring a whole new vibe to the show as they combine the singing with tales of intrigue and village life from their own village of Pocket.

All key residents of the village of Pocket, Al, Beth, Jonathan and Oliver bring a wealth of musical experience to the Society. Their considerable experience includes rural touring performances with ten schemes from Live Borders to Take Art, Creative Arts East to Night Out. Previously also touring as acoustic trio Mumbo-Jumbo and acappella quadruplets Men in General, they understand the needs of village halls and have produced this show especially aimed at rural communities.
