The Pie Sessions with Honeypie Bakeshop | Cherry Pies & Lattice Crust

Learn the secrets to making your very own delicious pies with Honeypie Bakeshop's founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer, Valeri Lucks.

Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our sister cafe, , our hands-on pie class will guide you through a variety of different aspects of pie making and give you a peek into the life of a bakeshop.

This session is a hands-on lesson in making classic butter dough and our very popular Door County Cherry Pie. We will cover the how-to's and the tricks to making a flaky, perfect butter crust. You will make your own dough and roll out your crust for one - 9" pie. We will learn how to make a Door County cherry filling and then assemble the pies with beatuiful lattice crust tops. We bake the pies during class, leaving lots of time for questions and answers. In the end, you will have a delicious pie to take home to show off your new pie making skills.

Tickets for class includes all of your ingredients, your finished pie, a recipe with tips and tricks and a drink ticket for one (1) tap beer, well cocktail, glass of wine or NA beverage from our bar.

Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. We do stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen - please let us know if you need an accomodation made for class and we'll gladly make arrangements. Wear clothing you don't mind getting flour on and closed-toe, non-slip shoes. Baketime for the pies in this class is about 40min giving you time for a break, for questions with the instructor, and a chat with friends. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class and during class serving drinks and our full dinner menu.

(Please note, we often have wait lists for our pie classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
