The Pie Sessions with Honeypie Bakeshop | Butter Crust & Apple Pies

Learn the secrets to making your very own delicious pies with the expert pie-making team of Honeypie Bakeshop!

Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our sister cafe, Palomino, our hands-on pie class will guide you through a variety of different aspects of pie making and give you a peek into the life of our bakeshop.

This session is a hands-on lesson in making classic butter pie crust and our favorite apple pie fillings. We will cover the how-to's as well as what pitfalls to avoid and the tricks to making a flaky, perfect crust. You will make your own dough, roll out your crust for one (1) - 9" pie and create your own apple filling. We will then assemble and bake the pies during class. In the end, you will have delicious pie to take home to show off your new pie making skills. This class is great for those of all skill levels who fear the crust!

Our classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. We do stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen - please let us know if you need an accomodation made to attend class, we can make changes to our set up. Wear clothing you don't mind getting flour on and closed-toe, non-slip shoes. Baketime for the pies in this class is about 40 minutes giving you time for a break, for questions with the instructor, and/or a chat with friends. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class and during class serving drinks and our full dinner menu.

Tickets for class includes all of your ingredients, your finished baked goods, a recipe with tips and tricks and a drink ticket for one (1) tap beer, well cocktail, glass of wine or NA beverage from our bar.

(Please note, we often have wait lists for our pie classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
