Set on the stage of the Paris Opera House and in the labyrinths below in the 1880's, this is a tale of love and revenge as the Phantom of the Opera falls for the beautiful Christine, a young and talented soprano. The Phantom has kidnapped her, taking her backstage into his dank and underground shelter. The poor deformed creature falls in love with the beauty, and decides, with his exceptional musical talents, to make her a star. But when she falls into mortal danger, the Phantom can only save her life if he sacrifices his own…With some of the most lavish sets, costumes and special effects ever to have been created for the stage, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is a musical phenomenon. It received its world premiere at His Majesty's Theatre in London on 9th October 1986 and has since played over 5,000 performances in London. Worldwide it has been seen in 90 cities and has won more than 50 major theatre awards.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's mesmerising score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night.
