This all-star ensemble is led by acclaimed percussionist Peter Michael Escovedo, and features Latin jazz legend (and his father) Pete Escovedo. Other members include Eddie M. (Prince) on sax, Ray Obiedo (Herbie Hancock) on guitar, Lilan Kane (Tom Browne) on vocals, Peter Horvath (Lalah Hataway) on keys, Phil Hawkins (recording artist) on drums, and Daniel Parenti (Michael Brecker) on bass.
ABOUT PETER MICHAEL ESCOVEDO
Emmy winning Producer and Musical Director Peter Michael Escovedo has earned recognition not only as a drummer, but as a producer, director, singer, songwriter, and television personality. He's created, directed, and produced television shows, written music for film, theme songs for television, and composed, arranged, and produced music for various artists.
Peter Michael has toured with Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, George Michael, Stevie Nicks, Marvin Gaye, and Huey Lewis & the News. He’s recorded with Barbra Streisand, Santana, Kenny Logins, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Kenny G, The Four Tops, James Ingram, and Earth Wind & Fire. Peter Michael has performed with Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Barry Manilow, and Michael McDonald, just to name a few.
ABOUT PETE ESCOVEDO
Legendary Percussionist Pete Escovedo is an artist who broke down barriers between Smooth Jazz, Salsa, Latin Jazz and contemporary music. His name has been synonymous with Latin music for more than 60 years.
Grammy winning “Lifetime Achievement Award” percussionist Pete Escovedo formed the supergroup AZTECA in 1970 with brother Coke Escovedo. This 16 piece band toured with Stevie Wonder and The Temptations. In 1972, Pete toured with Carlos Santana and recorded three albums: "Moonflower", "Oneness" and "Inner Secrets". In 1978, Pete and daughter Sheila E. recorded two albums on Fantasy records: "Solo Two" and "Happy Together”.
Pete has recorded with numerous artists such as Carlos Santana, Tito Puente, Herbie Hancock, Mongo Santamaria, Bobby McFerrin, Cal Tjader, Woody Herman, Stephen Stills, Billy Cobham, Anita Baker, George Duke, Boz Scaggs, Andy Narell, Al Jarreau, Ray Obiedo, Dionne Warwick, Marlena Shaw, Barry White, Angela Bofill, Arturo Sandoval, Poncho Sanchez, Chick Corea, Dave Valentine, Najee, Gerald Albright, Prince, and the list goes on.

- There is a two drink minimum per guest. Our menu has 15 wines in diverse styles and sophisticated non-alcoholic options. No outside beverages are allowed.
- Outside food is welcome. Food trucks are available most nights around Vasco Row, steps away from our venue. Check our social media for the schedule.
- Dancing is encouraged at Almost Famous, and usually takes place in front of the stage. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a completely unobstructed view to those sitting at bistro tables.
