The Peninsula Sports Club FoundationSince its founding in 1949, the Peninsula Sports Club has been an active force in the sports community.
The goals of the Club have remained the same over the years:
- To recognize Peninsula citizens who promote sports activities or make outstanding contributions to perpetuate community athletics
- To recognize outstanding Peninsula athletes, many of who have gained national acclaim
- To recognize and support the success of male and female high school and college athletes throughout the area
The Peninsula Sports Club Foundation is the financial arm of the PSC and is charged with the duty and responsibility to raise, distribute, and manage the scholarship fund. The foundation is a tax exempt, charitable nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions to it are deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code.
Over the years the PSC has distributed over $150,000 in scholarship funds, and we have every confidence that more scholarships will be awarded annually as we grow the fund.
Last year’s outing raised enough revenue to award six $2000.00 scholarships at our 73rd Annual Headliners’ Night.
In order to continue supporting the Foundation’s scholarship fund, the Peninsula Sports Club’s is hosting our 2nd annual golf outing at Ford’s Colony Golf Club Friday, October 13th, 2023. We are asking for sponsors, donations for prizes, as well as donations for the gift bag that each player receives.
