“Kicking off a new era for the Liverpool City Region’s economy”

What is Peepl all about?

In the west, the internet, our commerce, communication and culture is predominantly being capitalised on by a handful of silicon valley companies.

These companies drive the wealth, power and opportunity created by the internet, further and further away from local and regional economies like ours, we want to change that.

The Peepl Power Fair will bring together entrepreneurs building on the Peepl Network, its community of owners and anyone interested in shaking up the system, for a day of food, music, photography and networking.

As well as that, investment managers from The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority investment team, and business managers focussed on the technology community from Liverpools Growth Platform will be in attendance for the day to answer questions, and discuss their plans with the community for creating a world class start up eco system in the City Region.

Peepl presents…

We’ll be hosting an all-day blockchain x business fair to bring key partners and stakeholders together to connect, hear from industry leaders, and enjoy food/drinks and entertainment from local economy champions.

A professional photography studio will be set up for the entire day, and all attendees have the opportunity to have professional headshots taken for you to use wherever you like.

The fair will feature a range of activities from drop-in-clinics, to a panel and breakout room sessions (at 4pm) along with networking and entertainment.

The event will also kick-off the Peepl 100, a multi-media campaign celebrating the first 100 local economy champions to join the Peepl network. The Peepl Power Fair will bring the region's local economy champions together in the name of collaboration, culture, and taking the power back to the people.

Beginning a new era with a day of activity

Drop-in clinic

The day will start with a drop-in clinic where Peepl partners like Vegi, The Guide, and Yourgaff will be set up and ready to talk about their products and services and their experience working with Peepl to develop a decentralised app for their business.

Also on hand will be the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Growth Platform who will be able to provide information and guidance on accessing business and innovation support.

Firestarters x Peepl

“How can we use blockchain technology to power the next generation of the local economy?”.

This question presents the theme of the Firestarters being delivered by Matchstick Creative in the afternoon. The event will feature a keynote presentation from Peepl founder Leon Rossiter, as well as presentations from partners Vegi and The Guide. Each of the speakers will then join a panel for a Q&A, before breaking off into groups for breakout sessions where we’ll be exploring the challenges and opportunities in using blockchain technology to power the local economy.

Networking and entertainment

The final segment of the event will be reserved for networking and entertainment. Food will be provided by one of the independent providers on the Shocal network, and entertainment will be provided by some of the artists and local economy champions that make up the Peepl 100.

Professional photos for Peepl!

During the event, we’ll have a studio space set up in our office next door so that we can have professional portrait photos of all our guests. We'll also kindly ask if we could use the beautiful photos of everyone for our own promotion in the future, but that will be up to you, otherwise, just have some free head shots on us :)

What format will the event take?

• 7 hours of activity from 12:00-19:00

• 4-hour drop-in clinic where you can meet Peepl partners, and get tech and business support

• 2 hour Firestarters event featuring a Keynote from Peepl co-founder Leon Rossiter, as well as partner presentations, a panel discussion with a Q&A, and breakout rooms

• 1 hour of Music and entertainment from some of the local economy champions making up the Peepl 100

• Professional portrait photography is facilitated throughout the day in our office next door
