A camp drag telenovela about friendship, glamour, and class.
Born from the friendship of Berlin-based drag artists Théa Etcetera and Raki Solale, The PD Show brings two fictional drag icons to the stage: Panthère and Diamantine.
They couldn’t be more different: Panthère is the proletarian butch, Diamantine the golden femme. Different attitudes, aesthetics, tastes—and levels of class. Yet they’re both trannies, and that’s how they became besties.
PD is also a reclamation of the French slur pédé, once used to shame femboys, baby dolls, gays, and queers. We take it back—and put it on stage.
Each show invites two guest performers into a brand-new camp telenovela where friendship is tested, disrupted, and ultimately celebrated. Expect breathtaking lip-syncs, outrageous outfit changes, theatrical chaos, fierce provocations, and political stances.
Behind the fun lies a question about class within Berlin’s drag and queer scenes. Queerness may unite us against cis-heteronormative patriarchy, but we don’t all share the same material resources. The PD Show chooses to confront these differences with humour, honesty, care, love—and plenty of glamour.
