The PACK Picnic
About this Event
How do we, as Parents of Awesome Celiac Kids, make sure that the stress and worry that come with managing celiac disease don't negatively impact our children? How do we protect them without making them feel anxious or fear food? How do we teach them to advocate for themselves without letting celiac disease be the thing that defines them? These are questions that many parents are navigating—and we know we're not alone.
That's why we're bringing a psychotherapist into the conversation.
Enter our guest speaker, Registered Psychotherapist Megan LeBreche. Megan specializes in disordered eating and the intersection of physical health and anxiety, with a strong focus on food-related anxiety—a topic that many celiac families can relate to. Megan will share practical insights and strategies to help families navigate the emotional side of celiac disease, while supporting our kids in building confidence, independence and a healthy relationship with food.
And because this is about bringing our comnunity together, there's plenty more included:
- a bagged lunch for every guest (gluten free, of course!)
- fun activities for the kids
- a swag bag to take home (one per family)
BYOB: Bring Your Own Blanket! We'll provide everything else.
