The Outlaw Orchestra
Three accomplished musicians from the south coast of the UK, The Outlaw Orchestra exude the Saturday-night hell-raising escapism of the weekend. Dubbed "Heavy Grass" by one DJ due to their combination of hard rock and a country twang, they've also been called "The love child of Motorhead and Johnny Cash."
The Outlaws are at home whether at a bike festival, an arts center, a steamy rock bar, or a country stage, and can adjust the volume accordingly. With slide guitar, pedal steel guitar, banjo, gravel vocals, and solid thumping drums, they deliver catchy, hard-rocking original songs about everyday life. The music is laced with deep-south spirits and delivered with a British rock-and-roll sense of humor.
They drew the biggest crowd ever at Ramblin' Man’s Rising stage and pulled the largest outdoor crowd at Custom Rock n' Blues Bike festival since Motorhead. They have been invited countless times to grace the Sheffield O2 stage, Sheffield Bowl, and Planet Rock stages, and have supported Skid Row, The Dead Daisies, The Darkness, Brothers Osbourne, Phil Campbell of Motorhead on tour, Reef, The Kentucky Headhunters, and many more.
Their constant hard work on the road has paid off with weekly air time on Planet Rock Radio, BBC Introducing, countless online radio stations, and features in Hard Rock Hell magazine, Metal Planet, Emerging Rock bands, and Powerplay Magazine.
While their records demonstrate musical ability and clever songwriting, it's live that they truly thrive, putting on a show wherever they play. They pull the audience in and ensure a wild night for everyone, best demonstrated by pulling the largest queue to a merchandise stand ever at Planet Rock's Winters End festival and selling out all merchandise within an hour.
The Outlaw Orchestra will leave you with a sore foot from stomping, a sore face from grinning, and some devilish outlaw in your blood!

"...a remarkable dark and moving depth…an experience that starts with his cracked, soulful and incredibly emotive voice which has a surprising turn of range to it…With a crisp and clear production, the subtleties of guitar and vocals are beautifully balanced…sometimes you just need to go back to your musical roots, and it’s rather fantastic that it’s taken a gentleman half my age to remind me of that fact.”
