*Due to circumstances beyond their control the GSW were unable to hold the annual Otto Estensen Trophy event in April or October 2024The current plan is to hold it on the same day as the volunteers for Liberty event on Sunday 9th February 2025
The First Otto Estensen Trophy event, held in 2021 was a sell out, it raised almost £1,000 for the Stockton memorial.
In 2023 the Otto Estensen Trophy event was held as part of the dedication of the Stockton memorial which Martin and the GSW did so much to bring about, and the trophy was awarded to the winning team by Otto's daughter Elizabeth.
This year marks the 41st Anniversary of the first dedication of the Teesside International Brigade Memorial in Middlesbrough Town Hall. It will also be the first Otto Estensen Trophy competition to be held in the Golden Smog Warriors' new home; The Queen Elizabeth campus.
