The Other Half - Summer Program
About this Event
Where shared experiences create connection; because being a sibling is a big role, too.
Being the sibling of a child with a disability, chronic illness, or complex medical needs can bring unique experiences, questions, responsibilities, and emotions that are not always easy to talk about.
The Other Half is a 5-day therapeutic summer program designed to provide children with a safe, supportive space to connect with others who understand. Through games, creative activities, discussions, and skill-building, participants will have opportunities to explore their feelings, build confidence, develop coping strategies, and celebrate who they are beyond their sibling role.
Led by Stephanie Bevan, Child Life Specialist and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), this group focuses on helping children feel seen, heard, and supported while fostering meaningful peer connections.
Because every child deserves a space where their story matters.
