Tiffaney Childers lost both of her parents to suicide, one year and five days apart. In this deeply personal presentation, she shares what suicide loss has looked like throughout nearly two decades of her life, from the raw aftermath of loss to the years she spent functioning while carrying more than most people knew.
Drawing from her lived experience and her years serving with a LOSS Team, Tiffaney offers mental health professionals a survivor's perspective on the changing needs of those impacted by suicide, the importance of reaching survivors earlier, and the role of continued support in suicide prevention. Her message is ultimately one of hope: survivors can heal, rebuild, and create a life that feels like their own again.
