👻 Act 3 Galveston’s Shocktober presentation is here! 👻
Join us for the final play of our 2026 season, THE OMNIBUS OF PHANTASMAGORIA, featuring the chilling tales of legendary ghost-story writer M. R. James, adapted and directed by Cailín Heffernan.
A3G brings three of James’s wonderfully eerie stories to life in playlet form:
🕯️ Casting the Runes
🕯️ An Evening’s Entertainment
🕯️ Four Letters: A Disappearance, An Appearance and Another Disappearance
Suspenseful, spooky, and just a little saucy, these classic supernatural tales are just the ticket for our Shocktober offering.
📅 Saturday, October 17 at 8 PM
🥂 Pre-show mixer at 7 PM
📅 Sunday, October 18 at 2 PM
🎭 15-minute talkback following the performance
M. R. James was a scholar, medievalist, and master of the English ghost story, known for sharing his supernatural tales aloud with friends and students. His work has influenced generations of horror writers, including Stephen King, H. P. Lovecraft, and Clive Barker.
Come spend Shocktober with A3G and help us close out another season of live theatre in Galveston.
Some stories refuse to stay in the past. 👻
