On Thursday, October 2 at 7:30 PM, we're unlocking the creaky doors of James Whale's 1932 macabre masterpiece The Old Dark House.
And we couldn't be more thrilled to announce this screening will be hosted by THE WORLD FAMOUS TAMPONES, back for the first time since 2018!
Ashby Blakely and Nicia Carla (stars of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom) reunite as Alphonse and Carmella Tampone, serving up their sexy, surreal cabaret chaos with just the right amount of spooky camp.
About the Film
Directed by James Whale — one of early Hollywood’s few openly gay filmmakers — The Old Dark House is a macabre comedy of manners disguised as a haunted house thriller.
Boris Karloff plays the monstrous, lumbering butler Morgan, but the real chills (and laughs) come from the eccentric Femm family: Ernest Thesiger as the fussy and flamboyant Horace, Eva Moore as the fire-and-brimstone Rebecca, and a cast of oddballs who make the stormy night feel both terrifying and absurd.
