The Old Ceremony:
A triangle fixture since 2004, The Old Ceremony has evolved from a mini orchestra to an agile cinematic rock band, creating atmospheric, often literary earworms with their signature orchestration of guitar/bass/drums/violin/organ/vibraphone. They released their seventh album, Earthbound, in October on Robust Records.

Danger Hall:
Danger Hall is a new quartet from vets of the Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham music scene, Steve Grothmann (bass), Dan Hall (drums), Peter Lamb (tenor sax), and Shepherd Lane (pedal steel), who together make deep grooved, partly improvised music with original tunes and unexpected covers. Shepherd’s pedal steel offers unique chord voicing—kinda ethereal, kinda cosmic—and leaves plenty of space for rhythmic improv in the middle of the sound spectrum.
