Welcome to The Offbeat Spice Show! Join us at the Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre for a night filled with music, multimedia, and of course, some offbeat burlesque! Get ready to experience a unique mix of entertainment that shares personal, cultural, societal, or ethnic stories, with themes of healing, celebration, and social change.

SHOW DETAILS

Doors at 6:30pm, show at 7pm, with an approximate run-time of 2.5h including intermission.

Concessions will be available; however The Offbeat Spice Show is a sober event.

As some acts and performances may have mature subject matter, this is an 18+ show.

LOCATION

The Offbeat Spice Show is hosted at KW Little Theatre, located at 9 Princess Street East (between Regina & King St) in so-called Waterloo, ON.

The venue is accessible, with 5 seats designated on main floor. The remaining seats are accessed via a short staircase.

KWLT is a volunteer-driven non-profit community theatre.

TRANSPORTATION

There is limited street parking available on Princess Street. The closest parking lot in Uptown Waterloo is “Temporary Lot B” (searchable in Google Maps), and it is a 3min walk, one block from the theatre.

Using local public transit, the closest bus stop is King/Bridgeport Road using the #7 bus line.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS

The Offbeat Spice Show highly encourages masking out of respect for the safety of our performers and patrons, KN95 masks will be available at our shows. In addition, we will have HEPA air filtration available backstage and in the front entry.

If you are experiencing any signs of communicable illness, we ask that you care for the community and not attend. Refunds may be issued for illness related reasons.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

We strive for a safe environment where belonging is embraced.

We will not tolerate bullying or harassment, or abuse of any kind (physical, verbal, emotional, virtual/digital), and reserve the right to ask those who cannot respect others to leave the show, without a refund.

We believe in dismantling systems over cancelling people — there is room for error, learning, accountability, and repair. We encourage conversation and non-violent responses.

Our mutual values are trust, respect, anti-oppression, and solidarity, and we strive to act within these values at all times.
