Join us on July 19th at Harbor East Cinemas to watch The Odyssey, a film adaptation of the Greek epic by Homer, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring many notable actors, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, and Robert Pattinson.
One of our members suggested reading the version translated by Dr. Emily Wilson, which is the first full English translation of the poem by a woman and uses modern iambic pentameter to create a more readable version of the poem. I’ll be reading this version, but it’s up to you what edition you want to read!
I won’t be able to finalize the showtime until about a week out from the movie, so check back closer to the date for the final details!
