The October Benefit: Brunch

The October Benefit is back for it's 6th year and this year we've partnered with the National Pan Hellenic Council of Greater Hartford to host a brunch-themed day party. Like past years, The October Benefit will be held at Avalon Mohegan at the illustrious Mohegan Sun Resort Casino. As always, 100% of proceeds will be donated to charity in recognition of HIV/AIDS Awareness Month. Proceeds will primarily benefit "Keep A Child Alive," but in an effort to support our local community, 10% will be donated to Advancing CT Together (formerly AIDS CT). "Keep A Child Alive" provides financial and programmatic support to 9 community organization in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and India and serves over 150,000 people annually. Their program areas include: 1) HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, 2) Sexual and reproductive health and rights, 3) Livelihood and leadership skills, 4) Sexual exploitation and abuse awareness, 5) Emergency relief, and 6) Maternal and child health.

The October Benefit Brunch will include brunch themed hors d'oeuvres (included), specialty drinks, and raffle items that you don't want to miss !! We are excited to be partnering with the NPHC of Greater Hartford and to have the support of our local Divine Nine organizations !! If you are a part of the D9, make sure to note that with your ticket purchase... let's see what organization can raise the most money !! Can't make it ?? Donations are welcomed and appreciated !!

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS INCLUDE:

• Admission to The October Benefit (hors d'oeuvres included) from 2:00-7:00 PM
• 1 Drink Ticket (beer, wine, or 1 liquor well drinks)
• 1 Raffle Ticket (additional tickets will be available for purchase at the event)
• Admission into the after party at Avalon Nightclub from 9:00 PM-2:00 AM

UPGRADE YOUR TICKET:

• Upgrade your ticket (buy this on the "Add-On" tab after you select your ticket) and you will receive an hour of open bar access in lieu of your drink ticket. It is important to note that the open bar will only be available from 2:30-3:30 PM. If you arrive after this period, your upgrade will not be refunded but you will still receive a drink ticket. Open bar includes only beer, wine, and 1 liquor well drinks. **This must be purchased with a ticket.**

DRESS CODE:

• Summer brunch chic. It may be October but we're holding onto the summer vibes. Think colorful, sexy, dressy casual, with a hint of sophistication and edge. Find a stylish way to rep your organization's colors !! Be photo opp ready !!

IMPORTANT INFO/DISCLAIMERS:

• This event is at Avalon Mohegan on the 2nd floor inside Mohegan Sun Resort Casino.
• Bottle service will be available at standard prices.
• Parking is FREE in any of the Mohegan Sun garages.
• All ticket sales are final and NO REFUNDS will be issues.
• Brunch hors d'oeuvres will be included but a sit-down meal will NOT be provided.
• A menu will be clearly posted with all ingredients. Please be mindful of allergies.
• This is a 21+ event. Proper ID is required. Drink responsibly.
• Drink ticket is ONLY for beer, wine, or 1 liquor well drinks.
• Open bar is ONLY for beer, wine, and 1 liquor well drinks.
• Open bar upgrade requires purchase of a General Admission Ticket, as well.
• Open bar upgrade will end STRICTLY at 3:30 PM so please arrive on time.
• The "after party" is admission into Avalon during their normal club business hours.
• Management reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
• The October Benefit and all involved parties are not responsible for cancellations by special guests or changes in the event program.
