The Nutcracker - Ballet Company at UCLA

Ballet Company at UCLA presents our twist on the classic holiday story ballet. Come see the story of Clara, who receives an antique Nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve from her magical Aunt Drosselmeyer and awakens during the night into a dream with toys come to life and a battle between the Nutcracker and the evil Mouse King!

The lovely overture will be performed by Con Brio String Orchestra. We have the honor of presenting the following UCLA clubs as guest performances to replace the traditional land of the sweets dances in Act II: Chinese Cultural Dance Club, Grupo Folklorico, and ROOT[D.

Dancing snowflakes and flowers join Clara on this journey to the Land of the Sweets, where Candy Fairies and dancing candies celebrate and are ruled over by the three Sugar Plum Fairies. Join us for a magical evening full of dancing dolls, enchanting snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and so much more!
