The Nutcracker Brings Holiday Magic to Ellensburg
The Nutcracker & the Battle for the Key encapsulates the journey of Clara as she faces challenges, both external and internal, to reclaim the precious key that unlocks the music box, a cherished gift from her twin brother. The "Battle for the Key" suggests not just a physical struggle but also an emotional and psychological one, as Clara must navigate the deceptions of the Sugar Plum Fairy, the loyalty of the Nutcracker, and her own grief and hope.
Holiday magic comes to life during The Nutcracker & The Battle of the Key, presented by Ellensburg Dance Ensemble (EDE) and Central Washington University (CWU).
A young girl’s enchanted gift leads her on a wonderful Christmas adventure in this beautiful classical ballet, danced to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score.
The Nutcracker comes to Ellensburg December 12-14 at CWU’s McConnell Auditorium.
