THE NORTHERN STARS

Adulis Music presents new and traditional music from East Africa, in collaboration with musicians from the Netherlands, Argentina, Syria and Eritrea.

Program:

- Musical stories about the struggle and musical development of the Habesha people (current Eritrea and Ethiopia);

- instrumental performances;

- dance that reflects the cultural ties between East Africa, the Middle East and North Africa.

For the past four years, Semere Welday Gebrezgabiher has been working towards this project.

With the aim of integrating the Krar /Mesenko with other musical instruments and genres

And creating a network for musical and cultural professionals(new in the Netherlands)can showcase their work.

In addition, it is a tribute to the composer and singer St. Yared, the founder of Ethiopian and Eritrean traditional, religious and contemporary music.

■ ሰመረ ወልዳይ ገብረእዝጋቢሀር ዘወሃሃዶ ፡ መሰንቆ ምስ ናይ ኤውሮጳ፡ኤስያ ፡ደቡብ ኣሜርካን ሙዚቀኛታትን መሳርሒ ሙዚቃን ንምልላይ፡ ን ኣርባዕተ ዓመታት ዝተካየደ ሓዱሽን ባህላውን ሙዚቃዊ ፍርያት ዝቀርበሉ መድረኽ እዩ።

ብዘይካዚ ቀርኒ ኣፍሪቃ ምስ ደቡብ ዓረብን ሰሜን ኣፍሪቃን ዝነበሮ ባህላውን ንግዳውን ምትእስሣር፡ ዘንጸባርቅ ሙዚቃዊ ሳዕሲዒ ውን ተዳልዩ ኣሎ ።

እዚ መደብ ቀንዲ ዕላምኡ ኣብ ሃገረ ኔዘርላንድ ሓደስቲ ንዝኮኑ ናይ ሙዚቃን ባህልን ሰብ-ሞያ ፡ ፍርያቶም ዘቅርቡሉን ምስ ኣፍቀርቲ ስነ-ጥበብ ዝላለይሉን ማሕበራዊ ሰንሰለት ንምፍጣር ክኸውን ከሎ፡ ንናይ ምደረ ሓበሻ ሃይማኖታዊ ባህላዊ ከምኡ'ውን ዘመናዊ ሙዚቃ መሰረት ዝኮነ ደራሲ ዘያሚ ቅዱስ ያረድ ፡ ናይ ክብሪ ዝክሪ ውን እዩ.
