Agenda
How finance structures shape business relationships - and where risks emerge
Host: Dr Richard Bruce
Info: Trust, risk and power are three of the key elements of inter-organisational relationships, with the over-arching factor being money. Unsuitable KPIs tend to lead to unstable relationships, whereas collaborative working reduces risk and increases profitability. The use of Supply Chain Finance, or Reverse Factoring, when adopted honourably, can transform relationships.
University spinout companies: From discovery science to wealth creation
Host: Andy Hogben
Info: Hear from Andy Hogben, Head of Commercialisation at University of Sheffield – who will discuss how the momentum in Sheffield city ecosystem is creating opportunity for investment and economic returns from academic research.
