About this Event
Join staff from The Great Kills and Mulberry Street Libraries online for a presentation and virtual author talk with Wilson Tang, owner and operator of the century old Nom Wah Tea Parlor in Manhattan's Chinatown, and Joshua David Stein, a Brooklyn-based editor and author of numerous cookbooks and children's books. Learn all about Dim Sum, the history of this family-owned NYC restaurant, and watch a cooking demonstration.
This program is online.
To celebrate the restaurant's centennial, Wilson published his first cookbook, "The Nom Wah Cookbook: Recipes and Stories from 100 Years at New York City’s Iconic Dim Sum Restaurant" which celebrates his restaurant and the local businesses around it. The brand has since expanded with outposts in Philadelphia, Nolita, the Lower East Side, and Shenzhen have opened.
Registration is required.
This book discussion takes place online through Zoom!
A link will be provided to registrants approximately 24 hours before the program.
ASL interpretation and real-time (CART) captioning available upon request. Please submit your request at least two weeks in advance by emailing [email protected].
