Manic Third Planet pulls from a grab bag of punchy riffs, sharp hooks, and biting punk melodies to bring audiences to sonic orgasm.
Hailing from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, M3P transports listeners to a pleasure/pain chamber of musical delights where the magic erupts from striking dynamics and punishingly catchy grooves. After witnessing a performance, you're left with the unsettling realization that you haven't heard punk quite like M3P punk. And that's pretty fucking exciting.
The band's melodic palette blazes ambitious new trails through familiar punk rock territory. Fans of the Pixies, Fugazi, Jawbreaker, Weezer, and the Clash will feel right at home nodding along (or kicking their friends in the shins) to M3P's addictive staccato riffing and tension-heavy phrasings. While exuding Green Day-like catchiness, the band also harnesses the darker energy of contemporary punk acts like the Paranoyds and Amyl & the Sniffers.
M3P's released their debut LP, Burn Bright, in February 2024. A ten-track punk rock opera, Burn Bright tells the story of an afflicted adolescent whose earnest desire for companionship gives rise to incendiary circumstances for everyone in his orbit. It's a musical picaresque that explores themes of friendship, betrayal, and persistence.
If that sounds like a bunch of Disneyland bullshit, take note: The heroes in Burn Bright are arsonists.

ALMOST SOBER

Born on Old Farm Rd in Raleigh, NC with two musicians playing for fun has blossomed into a unique rock inspired four-piece. Now with two additional members on board, the combined nuances of difference in tastes in music blended with the similarities has helped shape our alternative/indie rock sound with punches of funk and punkiness. You will be hard-pressed not to move when the music hits your ears.

RANDOM MOTHER

An eclectic mix of driving, syncopated guitars, with some piano and harmonica sprinkled in here and there, Random Mother organizes randomness into cohesion, lending to a journey of an experience from start to finish that'll leave the listener coming back.
