The Nieuwpoort Marathon is the final day for Long Course Weekend Belgium. The finish line has a wild atmosphere with a stunning red carpet finish for all athletes. As a spectator, you can come down to watch your loved one cross the finish line and if you come down early enough you can witness the pro's run through to a victory. The run course takes participants through dunes and coastal landscapes that Nieuwpoort and the surrounding area is known for
The Nieuwpoort Marathon is een gloednieuwe loopwedstrijd op de Belgische loopkalender. Bovendien is The Nieuwpoort Marathon het afsluitend loopevent van het Long Course Weekend waardoor je je in een internationaal deelnemersveld bevindt. Het parcours neemt je eerst mee door de polders om je dan via het Kanaal Nieuwpoort-Veurne, langs het militair vliegveld van Koksijde terug richting de kustlijn te leiden. Via de dijk van Oostduinkerke en de dijk van Nieuwpoort loop je de laatste kilometers langs de vaargeul van Nieuwpoort om te finishen op het Long Course Weekend festivalplein aan de Oude Vismijn. The Nieuwpoort Marathon heeft loopwedstrijden over 4 afstanden: 5km, 10km, Halve Marathon en Marathon. Bovendien is er een kidsrace van 1 kilometer
