Wethersfield Historical Society and the Wethersfield Academy for the Arts join forces to present a series of musical performances that endeavor to clarify the cultural context of the repertoire for the audience. "Miss Maybell and the Jazz Artistes" will be performing "From Ragtime to Jazz: 1900 to 1930", a chronological presentation of songs tracing the evolution of American songwriting in the early 20th century. Join Lauren Sansaricq (vocals, washboard, guitar & banjo), Charlie Judkins (piano), and Brian Nalepka (bass & tuba) on a tour through this particularly fruitful time for American popular song.
This performance is presented "cabaret style" with tables and chairs. The audience is invited to BYO, if of age, and masking is required by the town of Wethersfield.
Suggested Donation at the Door: $20.00
