The Next 50 Years of the Community Reinvestment Act
About this Event
The Community Reinvestment Act became law in 1977; as the CRA approaches its 50th birthday, its future is more uncertain than ever. This foundational law for community development and holding the financial system accountable was only possible through a groundswell of support from grassroots organizers. What do the next 50 years of the CRA look like?
Speakers on the conference-style panels will include those who were active in the movement that created the CRA, former regulators responsible for implementing the CRA, leading advocacy organizations today, and bank executives who have been subject to the CRA.
