About this Event

As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, communities across the country are reflecting on the nation's past and considering what comes next. How has democracy evolved over time? What responsibilities do we share? And what hopes do we hold for future generations?

Join Levine Museum of the New South for a Community Conversation that explores how history can help us imagine the next 250 years. Using key moments from America's past as springboards for discussion, including the expansion of voting rights, movements for civic participation, and efforts to strengthen democratic institutions, we will reflect on how people have shaped our democracy and how communities continue to influence its future amid challenges and celebrations of what has been achieved.

Through guided dialogue and shared learning, participants will have the opportunity to connect historical perspectives with contemporary questions and collectively imagine the kind of society they hope to leave for generations to come.
Registration is free, but donations are encouraged (suggested donation $10.00)
