ON YOUR INSTRUCTOR: ERIC MIINCH (he/him)
Eric Miinch is a professional improviser, sketch comedian, performer, writer, and educator with extensive experience in live comedy and theatre. A graduate of the Second City Toronto Conservatory and the University of Windsor's BFA in Acting program, Eric brings professional-level training and years of performance experience to the classroom.
As President of Windsor Improv Theatre, Eric is an active leader in Windsor's growing improv community. He has performed throughout Canada as well as in major American comedy markets, including Chicago and New York, and has performed at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB). Eric is also Comedian in Residence at The Bank Theatre.

Eric's teaching approach combines professional improv training with a practical, supportive, and performance-focused environment. His workshops are designed to get students out of their heads and into the scene. He strives to develop confidence in his students, listening skills, spontaneity, collaboration, and the ability to make strong comedic choices in the moment.
Whether working with complete beginners or experienced performers, Eric brings the perspective of someone who actively performs, creates, teaches, and builds comedy in the community.
